Compal Electronics recently stated that it aims to increase its LCD TV shipments from 180,000 units in 2007 to 1.5 million units in 2008. In addition, the company is looking to ramp up its LCD monitor shipments from 2.7 million units in 2007 to 4-5 million units in 2008.
